Biography

Mr. Kai Tan is the Chief Investment Officer of the Alphawise Core Fund SPC – Alphawise Core Fund One SP (“One SP”). Mr. Tan is currently the Chief Executive Officer of HZ Capital Limited, a Sub-Investment Manager of One SP. Mr. Tan oversees the research, trading and portfolio management functions of the One SP. He possesses over 12 years of relevant experience in the hedge fund, equity research and equity sales industry. He left the Company in February 2020 and joined HZ Capital Limited in March 2020, while he remains the CIO of One SP. Before joining the Company, he worked at Point72 Hong Kong Limited from 2017 to 2019 as a Director and Research Analyst. Prior to that, Mr. Tan posted multiple roles including Equity Sales Director, Equity Research Director and Operation Analyst at Macquarie Capital Limited from 2008 to 2017. He started his professional career at Lehman Brothers. Mr. Tan obtained a Master of Finance in Investment Management degree from The Hong Kong University of Science & Technology in 2012 and a Bachelor Degree in Finance Minor in Mathematics from The Hong Kong University of Science & Technology in 2008.
